First thing, right now, grab your bucket list and add Circles in the Sand in Bandon Oregon.
From May to September, at extreme low tides, Denny Dyke and his team create magic on the beach.
On a fresh expanse of sand, Denny draws the design - different every time - and volunteers follow behind with rakes to create the winding, meandering path.
A crowd gathers, and when the work is complete, Denny welcomes everyone to 'share love, show love and be love' on the path.
I arrived early to help rake, walked the path (a half mile!) twice, and then witnessed the sea retake the beach and erase our work.
It was magical and holy - an alchemical blend of creativity, community, joy, and impermanence.
Blessed Be.
